Reading Week 3.11.19 | TBR etc. | What I Read, Upcoming Reading Plans, and Book Mail

Oh- was it a good reading week! I found a new book to add to my all time favorites list and had an epic bookmail week.

Linking up with Kathryn at The Book Date- the host of “It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?”

New to the TBR List

From Instagram

Ugh, I just love this bookstore so much! I have yet to find one with a better aesthetic (although The Last Bookstore is close!)

I Finished Reading

Guys, I really loved Daisy Jones. I knew I would- 70s classic rock is some of my favorite music and I loved Taylor Jenkins Reid’s last book The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. That said, I think this story will appeal to a lot of readers. (No need to be a rabid music fan!) Daisy Jones is such a memorable, gritty character and the unique story-telling style is not to be missed. I really want to listen to this on audio now!

I’m Currently Reading

The Hunting Party | Lucy Foley | I’m reading this for a review. It’s a trope that I love- a group of friends comes together to a remote Scottish estate and get snowed in. One of them ends up dead, so it had to be someone from the party. But who’s responsible? It’s told from alternating viewpoints and I’m not very far into it- but I’m digging it.

Upcoming Reading Plans

Too Much is Not Enough | Andrew Rannells | I chose this as a BOTM add on and I enjoyed the first story I read. I loved Andrew in Girls- I could watch this video over and over. It’s a memoir about his life going from Nebraska to Broadway and so far, it’s a nice mix of honesty, comedy, and sincerity.

New ARCs

I’ll never not be thankful to publishers and authors who send their books to me for consideration! I’m on a bit of time crunch but still wanted to get this post up, so click on the picture/title if you’d like the publisher’s synopsis and affiliate link.

The Daughter’s Tale | Armano Lucas Correa | Release Date: May 7th, 2019 | Historical Fiction for fans of Lilac Girls.

Double Exposure | Reading Week 3.11.19 | TBR etc.

Double Exposure | Alfred Gough, Miles Millar | Release Date: March 26th, 2019 | WWII Historical fiction written by the creators of Smallville.

Lock Every Door | Riley Sager | Release Date: July 2nd, 2019 | New Riley Sager! I really liked his first, Final Girls (and The Last Time I Lied a bit less), so this is one of my most highly anticipated for 2019. Love that pink cover, too!

Mrs. Everything | Jennifer Weiner | Release Date: June 11th, 2019 | Contemporary fiction from an author that used to be an auto read author for me (but it’s been awhile since I read her).

Otherwise Engaged | Lindsey Palmer | Release Date: February 26th, 2019 | This made its way to Sarah’s approved brain candy list so I’m definitely intrigued!

The Perfect Wife | JP Delaney | Release Date: August 6th, 2019

Rage Becomes Her: The Power of Women’s Anger | Soraya Chemaly | Release Date: September 11th, 2018
