Timing is Everything | Hand Crafted Wooden Watches

Timing is Everything | Hand Crafted Wooden Watches

You'll pretty much always find me wearing a watch. Whether it's my Apple Watch or a statement watch, if I forget to wear one my whole day is thrown off. Recently JORD Wood Watches reached out to me to see if I would be interested in reviewing one of their products and I jumped at the chance! Wooden watches caught my attention online but I had never actually held one in person. If you want to learn more about their company and enter a giveaway for $100 off - keep reading!

A bit about my style: I don't always accessorize and I tend to run pretty minimal with my jewelry.  I like pieces that I can wear with a wide variety of clothing, but I also like things that are unique. I tend to stick with my Apple Watch for day to day and working out but I was in the market for something more professional (that said- JORD does have Apple watch bands that I have my eye on!)

When I took a look at the watches on the JORD website, I thought I'd be getting a professional timepiece. But- what surprised me the most about this wooden watch was how versatile it was!  I'd definitely wear it to work or with something more casual. In fact, I wore it for our engagement pictures yesterday!

The JORD watches are hand crafted and made from raw materials. I thought the watch might feel bulky but was pleased to find that it's light and unwieldy-while still giving me the large watch face that I like. It's also super comfortable... to the point where I had to look down a couple of times to make sure it was still there.

I picked out the Frankie in Dark Sandalwood and Emerald. I love green and neutral tones so this really works well for me.

I wanted to take a close up of the face so you could see how nice the emerald color is. I love the green, but they have a ton of options. The Frankie also comes in colors like Smoke, Champagne, Ebony, Nava, and Pink.

The wood in my watch is made of Sandalwood, but they have a ton of options like Ebony, Maple, Rosewood, and Zebrawood. The glass on the watch is very sturdy and does not smudge easily- it's made of sapphire crystal glass. You slip the watch on and use the buckles on either side to close the clasps

One thing I was impressed with is that they are very accommodating with sizing. When you're browsing the website and find a watch you like, click on the "Custom Sizing" link located beneath the "Series Options" section. While you're there, you can also engrave  the watch or even the watch box. Too bad I didn't notice this before ordering! I didn't even think about the size watch I'd need and just ordered the standard. Since it's a wood watch, you aren't going to be able to just pull out a link on your own. However, if you forget to customize your size or if you are buying it as a gift for someone, you can just bring it to any jeweler or watch shop. But guys- don't be like me. Just use their size guide!

Aside from the color and the style, I also fell in love with the beautiful packaging. The watch box is incredible! I don't think I've ever gotten a piece of jewelry or a watch that comes with such nice packaging. Currently, my watch box sits on my nightstand. The watch is in the top portion under the magnetic lid and my wedding ring lives in the bottom drawer of the box. I love this thing- I didn't know what I was missing.
